The International Center for Mathematical Sciences – Sofia (ICMS-Sofia) hosts an international conference which aims to celebrate the contributions of female mathematicians working in representation theory and adjacent areas. This conference will provide a platform for researchers from across the field to present their work, foster new collaborations, and strengthen connections within the community. The conference also seeks to promote visibility and support for women in mathematics.
A Consortium Distinguished Lecture Series by Gordana Todorov (Northeastern University) on quiver representations, cluster algebras, higher Auslander algebras and preprojective algebras — May 18–22, 2026, ICMS-Sofia (Room 403) and via Zoom.
A Consortium Distinguished Lecture Series by Ivan Dimitrov (Queen's University, Canada) on root systems, their generalizations, and applications to hyperplane arrangements and inversion sets of roots — May 19, 21 and June 1, 3, 5, 2026, ICMS-Sofia (Room 403) and via Zoom.
The conference aims to bring together leading senior researchers and promising early‑career scholars working in elliptic and parabolic partial differential equations. Key topics include regularity theory and its applications, free boundary problems, singularity formation and qualitative properties of solutions. A particular emphasis will be placed on fostering participation from young scholars in Eastern Europe, providing them with the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge developments in the area.
